Hi, I’m Irina. I inspire and guide beautiful people to take better care of themselves – so they can live a life full of passion, love and abundance.
At a young age, self-care, self-love and authenticity became important themes for me. I dove into these topics; I explored, played and increasingly made them my own. I connected them with nutrition, yoga and ayurveda and started to share my passion with others. I’ve been doing so since 2005. As a writer, a yoga teacher and a coach. In one-on-one sessions and in groups.
Self-care, self-love and authenticity
A stressful childhood, serious health problems, the death of my parents as well as several friends and my cats. Early on various challenges in my life taught me how important it is to take good care of myself. By making this my top priority I feel powerful and resilient. Even in times when the ground seems to disappear beneath my feet. I wish you the same resilience, self-love and self-care. That’s why I started to share everything I learned.
For me yoga is a way of life. Yoga helps me to keep breathing in difficult or painful situations. Yoga helps me shape my life in a way that suits me. It helps me to opt for what my heart really desires.
I did my daily yoga practice for a few years, but I only really realized how crucial it was for me when my mother and I embraced each other for the last time, on my 24th birthday. Her death made me move in a different direction. I decided to follow my heart and fully focus on yoga and ayurveda.
Gathering knowledge and skills
I followed six different yoga teacher trainings (hatha, vinyasa, yin, restorative, ashtanga and anusara), studied tantra and myths extensively, and followed courses in ayurveda, herbal medicine, nutrition and body-oriented coaching. I got my vegan chef diploma and worked on my massage and coaching skills.
Because I suffered from menstrual problems (PCOS, severe cramps, PMS) at an early age and was confronted with a genetically determined and hormone-related type of cancer, I also studied everything related to cycles and the female body.

In 2013 the time was right for me to open my own yoga studio. I found a great location with a beautiful garden and opened my studio on a sunny summer day. The studio was a success from day one, with a waiting list for all the classes.
Four years later – after my father died, on my 35th birthday – I felt it was time to close the studio. Despite the success and despite my love for teaching in the studio, I wanted to focus on my writing, events, holistic coaching and somatic coaching.

I teach yoga in various studios and online at Ekhart Yoga, I write for the Dutch and French Yoga Magazine, Tijdschrift voor Yoga and the Yogagenda; I provide numerous workshops and retreats all over the world; I wrote and published two yogic cookbooks and I use my expertise in personal coaching sessions.

I share my knowledge in a loving, motivating, practical and realistic manner. The specific information I share depends on you, how you feel, the season and the time of day. I tune in to what is needed in that specific moment. For years I’ve been doing what my heart longs for. Things that make me happy and I feel passionate about.
